... Bilbo | | You know it's very simple, this is a balanced rock band. IT has everything. This is a positive representation of THAT.
Familiarfan PG | | What can one say about the climatic second-half of a mythological evening for the Grateful Dead: February 18, 1971. Without a grey hair on his head, a young, grinning, black-bearded Jerry Garcia hammers out herculean performances on "Dark Star" (first show) and "Not Fade Away" (this second show). The band also sports two drummers pounding out the "NFA" tribal rock beat. Not too common on available recordings. After this evening, personal matters forced drummer Mickey Hart out of the band. "Uncle John's Band" is the encore! | | THese small, funky regional theaters were magical places to see the Dead/NRPS shows, and Port Chester was one of the great ones...hope we didn't burn too many holes in the seats, or freeze too many lips! | | classic, smooth...nice. | Capitol Theater, Port Chester, NY
