This recording is a collection of some of those sessions. The personnel on this recording include: Jerry Garcia, Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady, David Crosby, Paul Kantner, David Freiberg, Mickey Hart, Grace Slick, Graham Nash, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Spencer Dryden. ... Bilbo The Mountain Song showed up late '80s on Paul Kantners "Planet Earth Rock & Roll Orchestra" LP. Still only on LP, never released on CD. There are 3 albums with this lineup. David Crosby-If I could only remember my name. KantnerJA etc.-Baron von tollbooth & Blows against the empire. All three are excellent although not as Crosbyish as this & the first. Check them out if you can find them. maybe vinyl only-Vinyl still rules! Please leave this up a while. Great recordings. BTW--Please don't let this site go away. If you're interested in hearing more from those sessions, get your hands on the Jerry import album titled "Mountain Song." It's got a few of these songs, as well as some other fun stuff. The sound quality isn't spectacular, but interesting early stuff to listen to. Wow! This is amazing. I'd love to have my own copy.
